Hazel and Sutton

Signed, lower right.
12˝" x 15˝"

Framed in a beautiful 19th century birdseye maple frame with its original gilt liner. The mat is forest green silk and the fillet surrounding the artwork is water gilt. All materials are acid free. Museum glass.

Giclée print: $295 (unframed) Signed by Carlene Masters, the artist's widow.

Please note: This series, “Hazel and Sutton”, is a testimonial to Edward Hopper, Masters' favorite artist. Depicted in late afternoon shadows with a cool, restrained, palette, the building at the corner of Hazel and Sutton is spare and unpretentious, as are many of Hopper's urban landscapes. While perhaps not as emotionally charged as Hopper, Masters succeeds in capturing a quiet moment.
